“Hank Quense has self-published his books for over 12 years.
His fiction works include the Gundarland series, the Princess Moxie series and the soon-to-be-published Zaftan series.

Hank writes satirical fantasy and sci-fi. Early in his writing career, he was strongly influenced by two authors: Douglas Adams and his Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Joseph Heller’s Catch-22. Happily, Hank has never quite recovered from those experiences.
Hank lives in northern New Jersey, a mere 20 miles from Manhattan, the center of the
Queen Moxie is a lovely blend of modern meets King Arthur’s court. While, the story is a bit slow at the beginning, the pace picks up to deliver an interesting tale of being a ruler and raising a headstrong child. The author sprinkles bits of humor throughout the narrative which makes for a fun read. I do think there are places where the plot could have been tighter, but really enjoyed the creative aspect of the story.
Moxie is queen and a mom. This is a good book! Aethelwine, Queen moxie’s daughter doesn’t want to be queen next. What an exciting book and there are some funny things as well for me in it. Football in Camelot time, I don’t remember reading about in history books but I love it in this book. The book just kept me wanting to read more. I loved the ending of this book too. All hail Queen Moxie and this great book! *This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.*
This is a unique and engaging way to help would-be writers get off the ground. Infographic Guide to Creating Stories is loaded with tons of information. Because of the infographics, it is easy to find exactly what you’re looking for. The author was wise to make these infographics colorful, so they catch the eye.
Even though I am an experienced writer, I found new methods and resources within this book’s pages that I look forward to using in the future.
If you desire to write, but aren’t sure how to go about it, Infographic Guide to Creating Stories by Hank Quense is a fabulous resource to help you understand the process of writing and propel you forward.
I received a digital copy from the author. This review contains my honest opinions, which I have not been compensated for in any way.
Full of diagrams and written almost like a step-by-step guide for authors, ‘Creating Stories’ is a must-read book if you’re a new author or you’ve been struggling at all with writing your next novel. This is a guidebook for novel writers and short story writers. It covers character development, plot development, and more. In fact, it even gets down to the nitty-gritty of things. I like that it even touches base on things like comedy writing and satire.
As a short story writer myself, I found the points in this book to be well-written and informative. As an author with aspirations to write a full-length novel, this book is one I will go back to often for tips. I couldn’t help but take notes the first read through since it is full of so much important information on how to create a story that people are actually going to want to read.
What clever way of writing such an informative book hats off to this author. I will be honest I devoured it. It has so much awesome information I have even put my copy on the work in progress folder on my desktop. I have a series of written events but they are dramatic so I needed to figure out how to bring together and give the reader a bit of breather before moving to another intense scene. I never thought of sub-plots. I am so very, very glad I got this arc. If you are new at writing this is an excellent resource. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
There is an insane amount of useful info packed into this book. Mind Mapping a Novel poorly designed visually with lots of contradictory formatting and layout issues, but the content itself is solid… equivalent to a several college-level writing classes all jammed into one concise spot with lots of great examples.
